PLEASE SEED!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the upload.
Can anyone confirm it works for intel macs?
Can anyone confirm this works for non-intel macs?
Can anyone confirm it works without any computer? :)
doesn't work on my mac pro
can anyone confirm it runs in a XT?
Didn't work for me either. I have a Mac Mini (PowerPC) and did a boot from CD (pressing "c" key while booting) and also ran the install file as the other way to install and nothing. Doesn't do anything.
Why does it hurt when I pee?
Will this version work on my powerbook G4?
Please need a quick answear and if the answear is not please give me a URL to the torrent I should get.
Does this work at all ?
if you send me your powerbook G4 I will test it for you!
Whattever.. I'll try to install it and if I success I'll let you know how I did it.
unfortunately kenhru, you need a computer to run this...

P.S.- great idea for a leopard install!
powerbook G4 cannot startup from CD!
Powerbook G4 CAN startup from cd, just press C during startup sequence.
the disc works fine until just before the actual installation and then the computer says it will read the disc to judge its integrity and after reading 7% says that the disc is dirty and needs to be cleaned. which of course is not the case. this is on a iMac 2.0 older model. any suggestions?

didnt work on my macbook "the installer could not locate the data needed to install the software....."
Leopard will officially not work on any pre-Intel macs except for G4 that have processors over 1Ghz. You should burn the image using disk utility. You should NOT open the image before you burn it because there is a general fear that this may cause it to burn improperly. The error might be caused by the missing xcode files when installer is looking for them. This problem has no fix except downloading the full sized torrent.
Everybody shut up about how to boot from cd on ppc here are a quick list of commands for ppc boot
-hold mouse key = eject
-c = boot from disk drive
- option = choose boot device
- x = boot from first version of mac os x found generally meaning the hard drive
those are all I know
oh yeah and do software updates work for this?
good work on seeding I'm getting 500 kbps
Does NOT work on Macbook 2Ghz Intel Core Duo, 2GB Ram

Got this error doing an Uprade and Install.

"the installer could not locate the data needed to install the software....."
Leopard's minimum System requirements include 867MHz G4 processor. End of story. I had Leopard on my Ti PowerBook until a major crash in June '08. Would not need to d/l this software if my original DVD weren't misplaced during a recent move.

This torrent WILL NOT LOAD on a G4 867MHz PowerBook.

PERIOD

There is something - and I don't know what - missing from the "burn.sparseimage" which causes the installation to fail.

Every single time.

Burning directly to DVD using Disk Utility creates a DVD named "Burn" - this is definitely bad!

Renaming the file to "Mac OS X Installation DVD.sparseimage" creates a DVD named "Mac OS X Installation DVD" which also does not install Leopard.

You WILL get an error indicating the Installer can not locate the files...blah-blah-blah...

Downloading this file is a USELESS WASTE OF TIME!!!
this torrent does and still works...

i first made sure i had min system requirements

then, i downloaded from here, and burnt the "burn.sparseimage" with the latest toast titanium.

after several failed installation attempts ie;

"the installer could not locate the data needed to install the software....."

i then downloaded monolingual (google it) and removed every language except english.

i started the installer again and unchecked every option; printers, languages, x11 and it installed without a hitch.

so, in summary, this torrent will work you just have to remove every language with monolingual except english, and then custom install with no extras.

if you need other languages, i suggest finding a friend with a DL burner, or just buying leopard.

my two cents
just hold down the option key on boot. this will bring up a boot menu with all bootable volumes.
oh, and make sure to hit skip when it says checking disc integrity. the installer will know xcode is removed and it will give you an error message.
Doesn't work for me either (iBook G4 1.33GHz). Tried multiple copies, won't boot with them..
Doesn't work. I can't deselect the languages--they're grayed out and preselected, as is X11.

Find a friend w/an original copy and ask to "borrow" it if you don't have a DL burner, cause none of these single-layer jobs work. I've tried several.
works for me on a powermac g4 dual 500 mhz. before you say it won't work on any g4 less than 867 mhz, you can trick it by using open firmware hacks or by using leopardassist. the error these people are seeing is because they are not skipping where it checks the discs integrity, and they are not using the custom install and unchecking xcode. xcode has been removed for the sake of burning to single layer.
the torrent is almost done downloading, and i'll let it seed for a good couple of days for a big thanks.

by the way, my mac doesn't have a DVD burner, so i'm downloading this on my windows lappy, and i'm gonna try to burn it with PowerISO, and i'll let you guys know if you can burn it using a windows and pop it in to your mac.

Won't boot at startup... and yes I pressed the "C" key and tried the option key too. Burned the disc in Disk Utility & I know my system meets Leopard's requirements.
hey guys, could someone who has succeeded in installing this crap write how should it be properly burned? i have 4 dvd copies already, recorded in different ways... none working.
Followed instructions; doesn't work on a mac pro.

please seed
Works perfectly on my Mac mini G4.
Work for my PowerBook g4 1.5ghz
When you install it you must to format you HDD (sellect option in instalation)
And On next step unchek all translation languages and all printer drivers!
Appears to be working on iMac G5.

There are couple things you should understand when trying to install from this dis:

1) Boot from the CD by pressing C and release it after you hear that the is being read.

2) Booting process will be slower than from the original disc, it may seem that the installation has crashed. Be patient.

3) This disc has only the core operating system and has only the english language. So when the installer starts, choose Use English as main language regardless what the installer suggests or what language you speak.

4) You have to select Customize during the instalaltion process and untick everything else than core operating system files, this included translations, printer drivers etc.
Sorry about my typos but you get the idea. The reason why installation fails with error message is that you are basically telling the installer to install stuff that is not on the disc.
Works on PowerBook G4 1.3Ghz
